This explosive scorer built an astounding roster of honors and led Skidmore Women’s Soccer to a new level of competitive play.

Chosen Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association Rookie of the Year as a freshman, she was twice named a UCAA Second Team All-Star (2002, 2003). A two-time Liberty League First Team All-Star (2004, 2005), Cugell was named team co-MVP in 2004 and MVP in 2005. She was selected for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All -Northeast Region Third Team in 2004 and joined the NSCAA All-New York Region Second Team in 2005.

As a junior, she led the Thoroughbreds to their best season in over a decade with a 13-6-1 record. The team also earned its first Liberty League playoff appearance, with Cugell ranking among the top scorers in the National Collegiate Athletic Association with 18 goals and four assists for 40 points. A prolific scorer, she had a hand in 22 of the team’s 34 goals.

Cugell led the team in scoring all four years, finishing her senior year with 14 goals and eight assists for 32 points. She graduated as Skidmore’s all-time leading scorer with 54 goals and 22 assists for 130 points, a record that still stands in 2014. She also holds the program record for career goals (54) and shares the record for goals in a game (4), and assists in a season (9).
