The 1999 team finished 18-2, won the program's first Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association title, and advanced to the NCAA III Elite Eight. Ranked 5th in career record for 120 points (45 goals, 30 assists), French was a two-time captain (1999, 2000), UCAA All Conference (1998, 1999, 2000), and a North-South Senior All-Star player in 2000.

She played for England's Doncaster Field Hockey Club and moved on to serve as assistant field hockey coach at Middlebury College. As head coach for the Union College Dutchwomen, she is credited with leading the team to conference playoffs (2005, 2007) and achieving the program's best season in 19 years (2007).
