The men outplayed Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Division I rivals to win the ECAC Men's Open Golf Championships.

They claimed victories in nine of 14 tournaments in which they competed. Dominating all season, the Thoroughbreds notched a string of dramatic victories at the Middlebury, Williams and Skidmore invitationals and the Skidmore Fall Classic. They powered through to 1st place finishes at the ECAC-Q, Upstate Colleges Athletic Association and Palamountain tournaments, battling between 10 and 24 teams each time.

The Thoroughbreds competed in three NCAA Division I tournaments, finishing 1st once, then 6th and 17th in the other two. This exceptional team boasted five All-District and four All-American players, as well as one All-American Scholar.
