Skidmore College Athletics Hall of Fame
The 1982 Men's Lacrosse Team finished its season 11-3 and, in the process, transformed the lacrosse program into a powerful varsity force. Started in 1979, the fledgling program enjoyed immediate success against community college and JV teams. 1982's schedule saw an upgrade to varsity competition and an astonishing string of victories, including wins over Division I Georgetown and Marist, a dominant Division II Hartwick, and perennial powerhouse New England College, earning the team its first Mayflower Conference title. The 1982 squad is the only Skidmore men's lacrosse team to defeat Division I, II, and III opponents in the same season.
