Skidmore College Athletics Hall of Fame
By capturing the program's first Liberty League title, this powerhouse team reversed an 11-year title drought, unseating longtime league champion Vassar. The Thoroughbreds inaugurated a new era in Women's Tennis; with nine consecutive titles and running, Skidmore has dominated the league ever since. The team finished in the National Intercollegiate Tennis Association top 25, elevating Skidmore's Women's Tennis to the national stage for the first time in over a decade.
Â
The Thoroughbreds produced Liberty League Player of the Year (Rachel Lob), Rookie of the Year (Melissa Hirsch), and Coaching Staff of the Year (Curt Speerschneider and Kim Westcott).
Â
They vanquished two national top-30 opponents and NCAA Division I foe SUNY Albany, advancing to second round play in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Championship.
