When it comes to setting records, Women's Basketball superstar Jaime Cumpelik '99 is unrivaled. She continues to rank first in Skidmore all-time scoring with 1590 points -almost two decades after graduating. The versatile forward built a formidable roster of individual honors, and in the process, helped put Skidmore Women's Basketball “on the map”.

Cumpelik dominated every game she played in, scoring an average of 18.1 points per game. She made a total of 597 field goals and 373 free throws and is still one of the program's all-time career leaders in rebounds (7th, 748), assists (6th, 284), and steals (2nd, 397). As a freshman, she led the 1995-96 team to the Thoroughbreds' first 20-win season with a 21-6 overall and 10-2 Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association record. Her talent and leadership helped power the Thoroughbreds to four straight post-season berths for the first time in program history.

Recognized as UCAA and Eastern College Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year in 1996, she was named UCAA First Team All-Star three times (1996, 1997, 1998) and garnered UCAA Weekly honors an astounding 35 times. In 1998, Cumpelik became the first All-American in Skidmore Women's Basketball history.
