Skidmore College Athletics Hall of Fame
This two-sport superstar has been called "a consummate student-athlete." Captain of both the field hockey and women’s lacrosse teams during her senior year, Weber racked up as many honors in the classroom as she did on the playing field. In the process, she helped boost both programs onto the national stage.
Â
One of Skidmore Field Hockey's premiere offensive strikers, Weber was a First Team Liberty League and All-Academic Liberty League (2003-2006) selection. She captured First Team All-Region honors (2004-2006), adding on First Team All-State and Third Team All-American in2006. Team captain and MVP her senior year, Weber represented Skidmore in the prestigious National Senior All-Star game.
Â
Her athletic prowess, versatility, and team spirit helped power Skidmore Lacrosse to success as well. Named Liberty League Rookie of the Year, All-Region Second Team, and All-Liberty League in 2004, Weber is a two-time All-Academic Liberty League selection (2004, 2005).
Â
Her commitment to academic excellence was no less vigorous. The art history-international relations double major was a Periclean Scholar, member of Phi Beta Kappa and Honors Forum, and a Rhodes Scholar nominee. In2007, Weber earned a prize for Outstanding Senior Thesis and garnered the New York State Scholar-Athlete Award.

Coach Beth Hallenbeck observes, "Katie's superior skill, dedication, perseverance, leadership, and academic achievement have placed her among the most elite student-athletes ever to play at Skidmore."
