Skidmore College Athletics

The Skidmore College 1995 Men's and Women's Equestrian Team won its third Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championship at Colorado State University in May 1995. It was the third Championship for the Thoroughbreds since 1990. The victory was particularly challenging that year due to the unique variety of horses present at the horse show. It was an uphill battle, but in the end, the Thoroughbreds prevailed.
 
Riders who competed on the 1995 Championship Team were Heather Sharp '95, Megan Moshontz' 97, Nicolas P. Balatsos '98, Allison Luyten '96, Sarah Schelble '99, and Emma Gregory '98. Also competing as an individual was Shoshana Menu '95. Heather Sharp '95 was Reserve Champion in the AHSA Cacchione Cup for the third consecutive year.
