Skidmore College Athletics

Liberty League champions in 2005, Men's Lacrosse went undefeated in league play and was the first men's team in Skidmore history to reach the National Collegiate Athletic Association National Tournament. They finished the season ranked 14th in the country.
 
The team boasted four All-America players - Brendan Bellefeuille '05, Tames de Gorter '06,Thomas Spinella '06, and Patrick O'Leary '05 - and Terry Corcoran earned Coach of the Year.
 
Corcoran recalls the 2005 Men's Lacrosse Team as being "one of the most committed group of players I have ever coached in 30 years. They epitomized the term 'overachievers.' That year, boys became men. They were selfless and learned to become part of something bigger than themselves. They were accountable to each other and took whatever role was best for the team. They played with pride, enthusiasm, and great heart. They backed down from no one."
