One of the most exceptional and foundational players in the history of Women's Lacrosse, Charlotte Riggs '94 set multiple program records that few have surpassed. A skillful attacker and passionate team leader, she transformed a struggling program into a respected regional and national competitor.

Team captain for three years, Riggs remains first on the program's all-time list in career points per game (3.41), second in goals per game (2.70), third in points (191) and goals (151); and fourth in assists per season (20). She is one of only 18 players ever to exceed 50 points per season (53 in 1992 and 62 in 1993).

Riggs' commitment to the sport has never diminished. A longtime lacrosse coach, she was instrumental in developing club teams in the San Francisco Bay area that she grew into thriving high school programs. She also built the lacrosse program at the Woodlynde School, in Strafford, Pa., where she coached for four years.

Teammate Rebecca Klein '94 observes, "Charlotte inspired me to be a better player - to elevate my game. Her passion, undeniable talent, and belief in the team earned recognition and respect for Skidmore Women's Lacrosse. In so doing, she paved the way for the prominence that the program, as well as the sport itself, enjoy today. It was truly an honor playing with Charlotte Riggs.

Riggs remains a devoted fan and supporter of Skidmore Women's Lacrosse.
