Darryl Manzer’s astounding record of achievements, several of them firsts in the history of Skidmore Volleyball, catapulted this spirited and hardworking team leader onto the national stage. The first Skidmore Volleyball player to be named an All-American all four years of her college career, she was also the first recipient of the College’s Inspiration Award in 2007.

Three-time team MVP (2004-06), she captained the Thoroughbreds her sophomore, junior, and senior years. She was selected Skidmore Senior Athlete of the Year in 2007. Liberty League Conference Rookie of the Year (2003), she was a three-time Conference Performer of the Year (2004- 06) and a three-time Conference All-Academic (2004-06). Twice named a New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Year (2005-06), Manzer was selected as an American Volleyball Coaches Association All-New York Region player four times (2003-2006). Honored as AVCA National Player of the Week in 2004, she captured AVCA Second Team All-American honors in 2006, when she also made ESPN magazine’s Academic All-District First-Team. In 2007, the National Collegiate Athletic Association ranked her nationally at #7 in kills and #22 in career hitting percentage.

Manzer still holds Skidmore Volleyball’s career records for kills, kills/set, hitting percentage, blocks, points, and points/set.
