SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's tennis team opened Liberty League play with a 9-0 win over Union College Friday night at Wenger Courts.
 
The Thoroughbreds (1-0) have won 21 straight and 61 of their last 62 conference matches.
 
Skidmore swept doubles for a 3-0 lead. Risa Fukushige and Dea Koiava combined for an 8-4 win at number one against Tal Pezzuco and Paige Webster. Jackie Ahn and Sofia Carlsson had an 8-0 win at number three.
 
Carlsson also won 6-0, 6-1 over Alex Greenberg at number six singles, while Fukushige had an efficient 6-3, 6-1 win over Pezzuco at number one.
 
The Thoroughbreds are at Bard College on Sunday at 1 p.m.
