ROMEN, Ga. – Skidmore College tennis standout Risa Fukushige lost in the quarterfinals of the 2018 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup being played at the Rome Tennis Center.
 
Fukushige, the Northeast region singles champion, dropped a 6-1, 6-1 match to number one seed of Ysabel Gonzalez Rico of Emory University.
She will play Ginger Valentine of Gustavus Adolphus College in the back draw on Friday. Valentine lost 6-0. 6-2 to fourth seed Venia Yeung of Wesleyan University.
