GENEVA, N.Y.— The Skidmore College women's doubles team of Jessica Ampel and Danielle Giannetti will play for the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional Championship at William Smith on Monday, while Michelle Fuca is in the singles semifinals.
 
Ampel and Giannetti beat Jane Haffer and Lindsay Jadow of Hamilton College 8-5 in the semifinals. The pair will face Grace Minassian and Maddy Stoner of The College of New Jersey in the championship.
 
Fuca beat Flyora Shiyanova of NYU 6-4, 6-2 in the quarterfinals. She will take on Sneha Rangu of The College of New Jersey in the semifinals.
 
Skidmore was well represented in the tournament's late rounds.
 
Renee Karchera-Sun advanced to the quarterfinals with a 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 win over Hanna More of William Smith. She lost 6-4, 6-2 to Allie Kallish of RPI in the quarterfinals.
 
Ada Wiggins and Giannetti both made it to the singles third round.
 
In doubles, defending champions Madie Benn and Fuca made it to the quarterfinals before a tough 8-5 loss to  Haffer and Jadow of Hamilton.
