Doubles Bracket
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's tennis team will look to defend its regional doubles title, as it heads to the USTA/ITA Northeast Regionals this weekend, held at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, N.Y.
The defending doubles champions from 2015, and the current number one seed, Maddie Benn and
Michelle Fuca, will try to earn back-to-back regional titles. Last year, the duo finished fifth overall at the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships in Sumter, S.C.
Other doubles pairings include the freshman duo of
Renee Karchere-Sun and
Ada Wiggins, the eighth-seeded team, as well as
Jessica Ampel and Danielle Gianetti.
On the singles side, Wiggins will look towards her first regional title in her first try, as the number two seed at the ITAs. She is one of three top-10 seeds on the singles bracket, including Gianetti (7) and Fuca (10).
