EWING, N.J.—The Skidmore College women's tennis team earned a weekend split with a 6-3 road win over The College of New Jersey.
 
The 19^th ranked Thoroughbreds are 7-5, while 29^th ranked TCNJ is 10-3.
 
Skidmore won two of three doubles matches and then took four of six singles matches for the 6-3 win,
 
The number one double team of Madi Benn and Michelle Fuca beat Grace Minassian and Maddy Stoner 8-6.
 
Benn came back for a three-set win at number one singles over Brittany Reedman 5-7, 6-2, 6-1. Brianna Greene won at number two singles 6-3, 6-4.
 
"I'm proud of how the team responded after yesterday's adverse situation," said Skidmore coach Curt Speerschneider.  "Our focus was to just play our games and it was nice to be able to do that.  TCNJ is a solid and feisty team so this was an important win to bounce back and build off of."
