POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.—Vassar College snapped Skidmore's 40-match Liberty League win steak, 5-4 in women's tennis action Saturday.
 
The 19^th ranked Thoroughbreds are 6-5 overall and 6-1 in league play. The Brewers are 7-5 and 2-1.
 
Vassar took a 2-1 lead after doubles, including an 8-4 win at number one by Hanna McGuire and Shayna Becker over Madi Benn and Michelle Fuca.
 
Benn regrouped for a 7-6, 1-6, 6-1 win at number one singles over Kate Christensen. Brianna Greene won 7-5, 7-5 at number two singles over Courtney Geiss and Fuca had a 6-2, 6-3 win at number three over Kelsey Van Noy.
 
Vassar won at 4, 5, and 6 for the 5-4 win. Shayna Becker held off Zoe Chodak 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 at number five to secure the win.
 
Skidmore travels to The College of New Jersey on Sunday.
