SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The  20^th ranked Skidmore College women's tennis team beat #30 Vassar College in a Liberty League match-up, Saturday at the Wilton YMCA.
 
The Thoroughbreds are 5-0 in league play and 5-3 overall. The Brewers are 2-2 and 0-1.
 
Danielle Giannetti beat Ava Sadeghi 6-2, 6-3 at number two singles. Brianna Greene was a 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 winner at number three over Sam Schapiro and won at number three doubles, 8-5 with Alexa Goldberg.
 
"This was a great team effort today," said Skidmore coach Curt Speerschneider. "We knew we had a big challenge against a strong Vassar team, but we used a lot of the experience we gained last week in our favor. We just played mentally and physically tough today. It was a good win going into spring break."
