FREDERICKSBURG, Va.—The Skidmore College women's tennis team went 1-1 to start the Mary Washington Blue-Grey Invitational. The 20^th ranked Thoroughbreds beat #33 Oberlin 7-2 and lost 9-0 to #1 Johns Hopkins.
 
Against Oberlin, Danielle Giannetti won her match at number two singles 6-1, 6-2 and won at number three doubles with Brianna Greene. Greene was a 6-4, 6-2 winner at number three singles. Monique Carlson posted a three-set win 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 at number six singles.
 
Skidmore will close out tournament play on Sunday.
