SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The eighth-ranked Skidmore College field hockey heads to Castleton on Wednesday for a non-conference tilt.
 
The Thoroughbreds handed Vassar its worst ever Liberty League loss on Sunday with a 10-2 rout. Senior forward Dani DeGregory tallied her second hat trick in as many games, finishing with four goals and two assists. Freshman Grace Florsheim recorded her first career two-goal game, Jenn Hanks had a goal and two assists and Krista Lamoreaux tied a career-high with three assists to go along with a goal. Becca Halter and Shannon Sebor each notched a pair of assists.
 
Skidmore leads the nation in goals per game (4.85), points per game (12.92), and scoring margin (3.85) and ranks second in assists per game (3.23), third in save percentage (.876) and 17th in goals against average (1.00).
 
Dani DeGregory is on an eight-game point streak, registering 52 points (21 G, 10 A) in that span. She leads Division III in goals per game (1.85), assists per game (1.00) and points per game (4.69). Sophomore goalkeeper Zoe McGuire is second in the nation with a .888 save percentage.
 
SCOUTING CASTLETON
Castleton lost its third straight on Saturday, falling 4-1 to Husson. Junior forward Haley Spittle scored the team's lone goal.
 
Three of the Spartans, who are averaging 2.1 goals per game, have scored just five goals in the last four games.
 
Freshman forward Sarah Wells leads the team with seven goals and 19 points. Spittle, who is on a five-game point streak, has dished out a team-best six assists and is second with six goals and 18 points.  Junior goalkeeper Meeghan Doris has started every game, posting a 4.38 goals against average and a .738 save percentage.
