CANTON, N.Y. -- The 14th-ranked Skidmore College women's tennis team did not drop a game in its Liberty League quarterfinal match against Bard, cruising to a 5-0 win, Saturday afternoon at St. Lawrence University.
After the Thoroughbreds (15-3, 5-0 Liberty League) swept doubles play,
Zoe Valella secured the clinching point with a 6-0, 6-0 win at number three doubles. Valella also combined with
Rachel Plevinsky for an 8-0 win at number one doubles.
Skidmore moves on to face the fifth-seeded William Smith College in the conference semifinals at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 27.
