Skidmore falls at #19 Trinity, 7-2

HARTFORD, C.T. -- The 20th-ranked Skidmore College women's tennis team suffered its first setback of the season, falling 7-2 at #19 Trinity College (Conn.) Saturday afternoon.

The Thoroughbreds move to 6-1 on the season, while the Bantams improve to 1-0.

Zoe Valella and Melissa Hirsch combined for an 8-3 win at number three doubles. Caroline Hobbs was also a winner, beating Caroline Gagne 6-2, 7-5 at number six singles

Skidmore hosts the nation's top-ranked team, Williams College, Sunday, March 9 at 1 p.m. at the Wilton YMCA.
