WALTHAM, MA – The Skidmore College women's tennis team fell 5-2 on the road at No. 28 Brandeis on Friday afternoon.
The Thoroughbreds (4-9) secured a pair of match wins at first and second singles, but it wasn't enough as the Judges (8-6) took the doubles point before claiming the remaining singles matches.
DOUBLES MATCHES
- The Thoroughbreds battled at first doubles, as the duo of Amelie Gonzalez/Ginevra Muratori claimed three games before falling to Brandeis' Mandy Reyes/Rebecca Suarez, 6-3.
- At second doubles, the pairing of Ellie Lake/Ruth Wilson picked up one game in a 6-1 loss to the Judges' Milana Sofizade/Nancy Zhang, while Brandeis earned the third doubles point by default due to a lack of available Skidmore players.
