AMHERST, Mass. - The Skidmore College women's tennis team lost 5-0 to Amherst College in NCAA round of 16 action on Sunday.

Amherst took a 3-0 lead after doubles and then won at five and six singles to clinch the NCAA quarterfinal bid.

Nataly Mendoza will represent Skidmore in the NCAA III championships next week in singles.

Skidmore finishes the season at 13-9.  Amherst is 19-2.
