WELLSELSY, Mass.—Top ranked Amherst College won the 2013 Nor'easter Bowl with a 9-0 win over #20 Skidmore College, Sunday at Brandeis University.

The Thoroughbreds didn't go easy.  Skidmore's Lee Ford and Alex Smith earned the tournament's only set wins against the Lord Jeffs. Ford lost to Sue Ghosh 6-4, 3-6, 10-4 at number two singles. Smith also went three sets before losing 2-6, 6-1, 6-0 at number four singles to Zoe Pangalos.

The 7-6 Thoroughbreds host The College of New Jersey on April 14 at 9 a.m.
