SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The 19th ranked Skidmore women's tennis team won both of its matches, Saturday, defeating the University of Rochester 8-1, before blanking Ithaca College 9-0.
With the wins, Skidmore improves to 9-6 overall and 4-0 in the Liberty League standings.
"We had our work cut out for us with a same day double header against regionally ranked opponents. We basically got done with one match and started another. The team really stepped up and showed a lot of toughness getting these two decisive wins. I think these matches show a lot of the hard work that the players have put into this season. We're where we need to be going into our final week of the regular season" said head coach
Curt Speerschneider.
Against Rochester, the Thoroughbreds looked very strong, winning all but its number six singles match.
