TROY, N.Y. - Lee Ford has been named Player of the Week by the Liberty League for the week ending March 3.

Ford went a combined 4-2 in singles and doubles competition against nationally ranked teams in the prestigious ITA Indoor National Championship held in Greencastle, Ind., March 1-2. At number two singles, Ford beat the No. two ranked player in the Atlantic South region, Meghan Buell of Washington and Lee (7-6, 2-6, 6-2). Ford also won the number one doubles matchup, beating Claire Cahill and Buell of Washington and Lee (8-1) who was also ranked second in their region.  Ford also won at number one doubles defeating Sydney Divelbiss and Alexandra Bayliss 9-7, helping Skidmore secure the win over 17th ranked UW-Whitewater.

The Thoroughbreds return to action March 9 at 1 p.m. when they host Williams College at the Williamson Center.
