Geneva, N.Y.—Skidmore went 11-1 on the first day of the ITA Women's Tennis Northeast Regional Tournament being played at William Smith College.

All five singles players advanced to the round of 16, giving Skidmore. The defending champion doubles team of Lee Ford and Nataly Mendoza also advanced to the round of 16.

The first two rounds were moved indoors and played with 8-game pro sets.
