Women's tennis drops close match to MIT

Saratoga Springs, N.Y. - The Skidmore College women's tennis team dropped a 5-4 match to MIT on Sunday.

The 17th-ranked Thoroughbreds fall to 9-5 and wrap up their regular season on Saturday at St. Lawrence.

Skidmore won two of three doubles matches at the #1 doubles team of Nataly Mendoza and Lee Ford won 8-1, while the #3 doubles team of Tory Engros and Robyn Baird earned an 8-4 win.

In singles, Mendoza was a 6-3, 6-0 winner at #3 singles and Baird picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win at number six singles.
