Amherst, Mass. - The Skidmore College women's tennis team cruised to a 5-0 NCAA first round victory over Castleton, Friday afternoon at Amherst College.
The Thoroughbreds improve to 11-8, while the Spartans end their season with a 13-2 record.
Skidmore was dominant at doubles, winning all three matches 8-0.
Nataly Mendoza won 6-0, 6-0 at number three singles and
Molly Nolan also won 6-0, 6-0 at number five singles.
Rachel Loeb, Melissa Hitsch,
Robyn Baird and
Sophia Bryan-Ajania were all leading their matches before the Thoroughbreds clinched the victory.
Skidmore takes on Middlebury on Saturday at 1 p.m.
