The Skidmore College women's tennis team went 1-1 this weekend on the road, falling 6-3 on Saturday to the 23rd-ranked College of New Jersey and defeating Swarthmore 6-3 on Sunday.
Against TCNJ,
Rachel Loeb (Greenwood Village, Colo.),
Laura Attley (Chatham, N.J.) and
Tory Engros (Bronxville, N.Y.) all picked up wins in their singles matches, but the Thoroughbreds fell to the Lions, 6-3.
In the win over Swarthmore, Loeb won at number two doubles 6-0, 6-4 and Engros won 6-3, 6-1 at number five singles. Engros and Attley teamed up to win 8-2 at number two doubles and Loeb and freshman
Brittany Trimble (Whitefish Bay, Wis.) won number three doubles, 8-6.
Loeb and Engros each finished 3-1 in the two weekend matches.
The Thoroughbreds return to action on April 7, when they host Middlebury.
