Schenectady, N.Y. - The Skidmore College women's tennis team earned a 9-0 win at Union College on Saturday afternoon.
Melissa Hirsch picked up wins at number one singles and number one doubles.  She won 6-3, 6-0 over Elise Malkin in singles and teamed with Robyn Baird for an 8-1 win against Malkin/Andie Coopersmith.  Baird also defeated Coopersmith 6-1, 6-0 at number three singles.
Molly Nolan beat Brittany Gilbert 6-4, 6-0 at number two singles, while Sophia Bryan-Ajania won 6-0, 6-1 at number four singles, Keirsten Sires won 6-0, 6-0 at number five and Rachel Plevinsky won 6-0, 6-2 to round out singles action.
Nolan and Sires teamed up for an 8-2 win at number two doubles over Gilbert/Gaudian and Delaney Scollan and Lindsay Hartley beat Muratori/Watman at number three doubles.
The Thoroughbreds return to action on October 9 at the Gail Smith Doubles Tournament, hosted by Middlebury.
