Chittenango, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's soccer team tied Cazenovia College 2-2 in a non-league contest played Tuesday night at Chittenango High School.

It was the fifth overtime game of the season for the 7-6-3 Thoroughbreds. Cazenovia is 3-8-3.

Down 1-0 early, Skidmore tied the game when Doug Yeates was credited with his third goal of the season at 26:02. The Wildcats made it 2-1 off a restart at 70:03. The Thoroughbreds quickly tied it when Mark Jensen scored from Tim Lueders-Dumont at 72:29.

Skidmore dominated the overtime, outshooting Cazenovia 4-1 in the extra periods, but couldn't get one past Wildcat keeper Riley Battaglini. The Thoroughbreds held a 21-8 advantage for the game.

Steve Vasquez had three saves in goal for Skidmore, while Battaglini finished with seven for Cazenovia.

The Thoroughbreds return to Liberty League action on Saturday at home against Vassar in a 3 p.m. start.
