INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—The Skidmore College men's tennis team will face Southern Virginia University in the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships May 154 at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga.

The other half of the "pod" draw has Grove City (8-2) and Roger Williams (10-) playing in the first round on May 13. The winner takes on the pod top seed Brandeis (6-1).

The winner of that match will play the winner of the Skidmore-SVU match on May 15 for the right to advance to the NCAA championship finals, which will be held May 24-26 at the Champions Tennis Club in Chattanooga, Tenn.

There are 37 teams competing in the event. Student athletes selected to the individual championships will be announced May 12.

Skidmore (6-1) received the Liberty League automatic bid after beating Rensselaer 5-0 for the league championship. The Thoroughbreds will be playing in their 12
th NCAA tournament and have qualified for 12 of the past 13 events.

Southern Virginia (12-5) won the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference title to qualify for its first NCAA tournament.
