SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Senior Yuval Goodman grinded out a three-set semifinal win over Vassar's Eddie Zeng on Sunday to advance to Monday morning's singles final of the 2026 ITA Division III Men's Northeast Regional hosted at Skidmore's McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center.
 
The win guarantees Goodman a spot in next month's ITA Cup in Rome, Georgia. The 8-16 seed will match up against top-seeded Kevin Titus Suresh of Saint Francis University on Monday morning at 9 a.m. The winner is granted automatic All-America status for the 2026-27 season.
 
Ege Topbas also reached the semifinal round in the main singles draw highlighting the successful weekend for the Thoroughbreds. He lost in straight sets to Suresh on Sunday. It was his second consecutive semifinal appearance.
 
Singles Results

• Goodman's road to the final four featured wins over Simon Phillip of Union (6-4, 3-6, 1-0(10—7)), Noah Potts of Saint Francis (6-4, 6-0), Ziwen Ju of Rochester (6-4, 2-6, 6-1), and Eugene Lee of Vassar (6-4, 5-7, 6-4).
• Against his second opponent in a row from Vassar, Eddie Zeng, Goodman went up a set before falling in a tiebreak that forced a winner-take-all third set. He forced through a 6-2 win in the third to clinch his spot in the title match.
• On the other side of the draw, Topbas did not drop a set in the first two rounds. He beat TCNJ's Nathan Chan (6-4, 7-5) and NYU's Maciej Zarebski (6-1, 6-3) to make it to Saturday's round of 16. There, he took down Michael Georgelis of Hobart (4-6, 7-5, 6-1), and then Sunday morning beat Vassar's Shrey Choudhary (7-6(7-4), 6-3) to reach the semis.
• Skidmore had six players in the main singles draw. Three won in the opening round. In addition to Goodman and Topbas, Radin Sadeghi won in straight sets (6-0, 6-3) over Andrew Schiller of Yeshiva.
• Mahen Bitkuri and Alton Swan both claimed 8-2 victories in the man draw consolation round.
• In the singles B Draw, first-year Nathan Dolgushev won twice. He opened with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 triumph over Farmingdale's Danial Zindani. He then won 6-4, 6-2 over Charles Schepens from St. Lawrence.

 
Doubles Results

• Bitkuri and Fletcher King represented the lone advancing Skidmore team out of the first round. They got past Kousaridis/Reid, 8-4, before dropping a close 8-6 decision round of 16 match to Potts/Suresh of Saint Francis.
• Both Thoroughbred pairs had wins in the consolation round. Goodman and Sadeghi shut out NYU's Zarebski/Slesarev, 8-0, while Topbas and Dolgushev worked an 8-2 victory over Ortiz/Ranadive of Hobart.
