Bergin promoted to hockey Associate Head Coach

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—Skidmore College head ice hockey coach Rob Hutchison has announced that Mike Bergin has been promoted to Associate Head Coach.
 
Bergin began with the program as a volunteer assistant in the 2017-18 season, moving to an assistant position in 2018.
 
Among his duties with be recruiting coordinator, defensive and penalty kill coach, skills coach practice planning, game day strategy, and video coordinator.
 
Prior to a successful professional career in the ECHL and Swedish HockeyAllsvenskan, he was a four-year collegiate standout at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
 
"Mike is a professional in every sense of the word—he brings a great work ethic, excellent knowledge of the game, and ability to connect with each player on an individual basis." Hutchison said. "He continues to learn, grow, and excel in all of his capacities within the program and has proven to be a tremendously valuable asset.
 
"Mike has embraced Skidmore College, and our vision for the program, while working diligently to keep us moving forward. We are lucky to have him on our side!"
