GENEVA, N.Y.— Unseeded freshman Alper Kulturel advanced to the singles semifinals and the top seeded doubles team of J.T. Wynne and Noah Williamson are in the doubles final in the ITA Men's Tennis Northeast Regionals being played at Hobart College.

The tournament concludes Sunday.

Kulturel battled his way to a three-set win in the round of 16, beating Yudai Teruyama of Rensselaer 6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (7-3) to set-up a show down with teammate and second seed Wynne. The two fought it out with Kulturel coming away with a hard fought 7-6 (7-4), 7-5 win.

He will face third seed Castillo-Sanchez of Rensselaer in the semifinals Sunday morning.

Wynne and Williamson are the top seeds and played that way with an 8-6 win over Ayman and Lyu of Hobart in the quarterfinals and an 8-6 victory over third seed Castillo-Sanchez and Imrie of Rensselaer in the semifinals.

They will take on second seed Alan Dubrovsky and Walker Anderson of Hobart in Sunday's championship match.
