MIDDLEBURY, Vt.—Skidmore freshmen Alper Kulturel and Brendan Jimenez won their respective singles flights in the Middlebury Men's Tennis Invitational.

Kulturel, seeded second, beat fourth seed David Vilys of Middlebury 6-3, 6-3 to win the C Flight Singles title. Kulturel advanced to the final with a 7-6, 6-0 win over Jon Hallal of Colby.

Jimenz, unseeded, cruised by third seed Josh Belandres of Tufts 7-6, 6-4 before beating fourth seed Zach Hilty of Middlebury 6-4, 6-4 in the D Flight singles flight.

Skidmore is off until the ITA Northeast Regionals Sept. 27-29 at Hobart.
