MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Freshman Tristan Thiebault of the Skidmore College men's tennis team advance to the finals in his flight, leading the Thoroughbreds as they wrapped up play at the Middlebury Invite Sunday.
 
The rookie, competing in the 'D' singles flight, defeated Middlebury's Zachary Hilty in straight sets, 4-6, 6-2 (7). Thiebault would eventually fall in the championship match to third-seeded Tyler Ng of Brandeis in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.
 
Skidmore will look ahead to its first dual match of the season as it takes on Amherst at the Wenger Tennis Courts, this Saturday at 11 a.m.
