Box Score SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's tennis team returned to action in a big way, defeating Union 9-0 to remain undefeated in Liberty League action at the Union Tennis Courts Sunday afternoon.
Skidmore, ranked 27
th in the latest ITA rankings, improves to 9-3 overall and 7-0 in the league. Union falls to 3-7 overall and 1-3.
After a 15-day absence, Skidmore got right to work against Union with a trio of 8-1 scores in doubles action. In singles action,
Ted Berkowitz was dominant in a 6-1, 6-0 win over Max Egna at No. 3.
Suraj Mahtani was equally dominant in a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Justin Gold at No. 5. 10th-ranked singles player
JT Wynne remained undefeated in league singles matches with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Del Schunk at No. 1.
Skidmore will continue its five-game road trip with a visit to Stevens on Saturday at 1 p.m.
