CLAREMONT, Calif. – The 26
th-ranked Skidmore College men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 defeat by the hands of No. 3 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, in non-league action at the Bisantz Family Tennis Center Thursday afternoon.
Skidmore falls to 6-2 and will finish the busy week on Friday against No. 2 Bowdoin at 4 p.m. local time. CMS improves to 12-2 and they will host No. 6 Amherst and No. 17 Tufts on Saturday.
The Thoroughbreds kept things competitive in doubles action. The teams of

Jason Keye at No. 3 suffered narrow 8-6 losses.
The Stags swept the six singles matches in straight sets, but Skidmore put up fights in a pair of matches.
JT Wynne dropped the first set and battled in the second set of a 6-2, 7-5 loss to Jack Katzman at No. 2, while
Ted Berkowitz nearly pulled it out in the first set, but fell 7-6, 6-2 to Julian Gordy at No. 5.
