The Thoroughbreds are 1-11-1, while the Lakers move to 10-2-1.

Skidmore plays NEHC rival Hobart in the third-place game on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Statesmen tied Manhattanville 3-3, but lost the penalty shot tiebreaker, 1-0.

Oswego grabbed a 2-0 first period lead on goals by Cameron Berry at 4:56 and AJ D'Orazio at 9:43.

The Thoroughbreds kept at, cutting it to 2-1 on
Brandon Borges' second goal of the season from
Max Hegge at 4:15 of the second.

It stayed a one-goal game until Josh Zizek made it 3-1 at 10:10 of the third. Tanner Spink added an empty netter at 19:56.

Skidmore outshot the Lakers 27-26. Bradon Kasel had 22 saves for the Thoroughbreds. David Richer stopped 26 shots for Oswego.
