WILTON, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's tennis team ended its home schedule on a high note as the No. 22 Thoroughbreds remained perfect in Liberty League play, defeating Hobart 7-2 at the Wilton YMCA Saturday afternoon.
 
Skidmore, the 22^nd ranked team in the latest Oracle/ITA national poll, improves to 7-5 overall and 5-0 in league play, winning its 26^th league contest in a row. Hobart, ranked 15th in the Northeast Region, falls to 0-1 on the league schedule and 6-4 overall.
 
It was the last regular season home match for lone Thoroughbred senior Kai Yuen Leung. Leung, the second ranked singles player in the Northeast, had little trouble in his first singles match, defeating Hobart's Jonathan Atwater in straight sets 6-3, 6-2. In his first doubles match, Leung teamed up with John Wynne, as the second-ranked tandem dispatched Hobart's pair of Alan Dubrovsky and Jonah Salita by an 8-3 score.
 
Skidmore took control of the contest, winning two of the three doubles matches and five of the six singles matches. Lucas Pickering and Steven Koulouris won their second doubles match against Danny Kot and Mike Rusk, winning 8-5. In singles action, Koulouris, Wynne, Travis Leaf, and Ted Berkowitz also earned points for the Thoroughbreds in the victory.
 
Skidmore will next embark on a three-game road trip to wrap up the regular season. Skidmore begins the trip up north, facing St. Lawrence on April 16 in a 1 p.m. start.
