LATHAM, N.Y. - Kai Yuen Leung won at first flight singles and doubles to help lead the Skidmore College men's tennis team to a 7-2 victory over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) on Saturday at TriCity Fitness. With the win, the Thoroughbreds improve to 5-5 on the season, while the Engineers drop to 4-5.
It was the 25
th straight Liberty League win for Skidmore, who were picked as co-Liberty League favorites with the Engineers by the league coaches.
Leung paired up with freshman John Wynn to take home an 8-2 win over RPI freshmen
Sebastian Castillo-Sanchez and Zach Ebenfield. Leung also defeated Castillo-Sanchez in singles play, 6-3, 6-2.
Skidmore swept the top three singles matches.
Steven Koulouris win a three-set match at number two over Xavier Oshinowo 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 and
Lucas Pickering won 7-6 (4) 6-2 at number three singles over Tristan Wise.
