MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Skidmore College junior
Kai Yuen Leung beat #1 ranked Noah Farrell of Middlebury College 6-2, 6-3, but the 20
th ranked Thoroughbreds lost 7-2 to the third ranked Panthers.
Skidmore (12-4) will face Hobert in the Liberty League semifinals on Saturday. Middlebury 14-2 is the top ranked team in the Northeast region, while the Thoroughbreds are seventh.
Farrell, the Division III National Small College Champion was 26-1 and 26-0 against Division III competition this season. His lone loss was against Peter Tarwld of Brown.
Leung is heading into the post season with a 20-5 record.
The number three doubles team of
Lucas Pickering and
Steven Koulouris had the other Skidmore win, beating Kyle Schlanger and William deQuant 9-8 (8-6).
