POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.—Two Skidmore College men's tennis players advanced to the ITA Regional Singles Round of 16, Friday at Vassar College. All three Thoroughbred doubles teams are still alive.
 
Second seeded Kai Yuen Leung opened with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Sherman Uyeno of Rochester and then beat Ben Shapiro of Rochester, 6-3, 6-4.  Lucas Pickering posted wins over Hamilton's Jonathan Cohen (6-0, 6-1) and Ben Lynaugh of RIT (6-3, 6-0).
 
In doubles, Yuen Leung and Nick Tong advanced to the quarterfinals with an 8-4 win over Luckman and Cooper of Vassar. Kit Sanderson and Jonah Epstein will play a second round match Saturday morning after beating Hayes and Gardiner of Ithaca 8-6. Pickering and Steven Koulouris will also play a second round match Saturday morning after posting an 8-2 win over Harris and Kim from RPI.
