SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore women's lacrosse team will be looking to secure crucial points this weekend, playing two key Liberty League road games against St. Lawrence and Clarkson.

SCOUTING THE THOROUGHBREDS (7-3, 2-1 Liberty League): Skidmore rattled off back-to-back league wins in dominant fashion over the weekend, beating Bard 16-4 before downing Vassar, 11-6.
Tyler Phillips was named the Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week after tallying six goals and adding three assists over the two games.
Emma Harris contributed five goals and two assists in the two contests, including a five points (3G, 2A) against Vassar.

Phillips is currently on a 17-game scoring streak, dating back to last season. She leads the league with 32 goals and has registered multi-point games in nine of 10 games this season, scoring three or more goals in seven of those contests. Harris extended her scoring streak to six games and has produced 14 goals and four assists in that span.
Rachel Talanian, who tallied her first career goal against Bard and added another against Vassar, has been the engine of a defensive unit that holds a league-low 7.87 goals against average. She ranks 17th in Division III in caused turnovers per game (2.7) and eighth in the league in groundballs per game (2.7). Sophomore goalkeeper Megan Kololpsky has also been a major contributor, leading the league in goals against average (8.15) while ranking third in save percentage (4.62).

SCOUTING THE SAINTS (2-7, 0-3 Liberty League): St. Lawrence lost its third consecutive game last week, falling 13-12 against Clarkson. Sophomore midfielder Kiera Taussig tied a season high with four goals, while junior attacker Chloe Knapp added four points with three goals and an assist.

The Saints have struggled to find their rhythm on both ends of the field, ranking ninth in goals per game (7.89), points per game (9.56) and goals against average (11.90). St. Lawrence also averages a league-low 9.33 draw controls per contest.

Taussig leads the team with 17 goals and 18 points. Knapp is second on the team with 11 goals and 14 points and Kayla Schmalz is second on the team with 12 goals and 12 points. Adden Cunningham has started all nine games in goal, averaging a conference-high 9.67 saves per game.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS (7-2, 2-1 Liberty League): Clarkson was topped 13-11 by Canton on Wednesday. Junior midfielder Christine Wright had six points for the third consecutive game and the fourth time in five contests, scoring four goals and adding two assists. Sophomore attacker Paige Fayette produced five points for the second-straight game with a hat trick and two assists. The game marked the first time this season that the Golden Knights lost after scoring at least 11 goals. They were 6-0 in the previous six.

Clarkson improved to 2-1 in the league last week, coming from four goals down in the final 14 minutes to record its first ever win over St. Lawrence.

Wright leads the conference with 51 points averages a league-high 5.1 points per game, while Fayette's 3.8 points per game place her seventh in the conference. Wright (2.80) and Fayette (2.80) and are tied for fifth in goals per game. The duo has combined for 56 of the team's 108 goals and 89 of the team's 148 points. Danielle Tani has started all nine games, posting an 9.11 goals against average and a .403 save percentage.
