Marc Cibelli had a hand in all three Skidmore College goals in a 3-3 tie with SUNY Potsdam in the consolation game of the Skidmore Invitational Tournament, Sunday afternoon at the Saratoga City Rink.

The Thoroughbreds are 2-6-1, while the Bears are 6-2-1.
Cortland defeated Manhattanville 6-3 to win the championship game.

Skidmore struck first when Jack Sloan scored his first of the season on a power play from Cibelli and
Andreas Michailidis at 10:30. Jake Rivera tied it for the Bears at 18:45 when he scored on a delayed shot in front. Tommy Telesca and Sean Kacerosky assisted.

The teams traded goals in the second period. Dylan Vander Esch gave Potsdam its first lead when his wraparound found its way over the goal line at 17:11.Â
Anthony Bird evened the score at 2-2 when he rifled a shot from a tough angle over the glove of Bear goalie Brendan McMenimen at 19:10. Cibelli and
Adam Moodie assisted.

Cibelli put Skidmore on top when he corralled a bouncing puck in front and scored a power-play goal at 14:06 from Michailidis. Potsdam forced overtime with a Matt Thompson goal from Todd Thomas and Mike Sweeney at 18:15.

Both teams had chances in overtime, with Skidmore getting three of their four shots in the final 30 seconds, but McMenimen held for the tie.

The Thoroughbreds held a 32-31 shot advantage. Â Skidmore went 2-8 on the power play, while keeping the Bears off the board in five power plays.

Jack McDonald had 28 saves, including 11 while short-handed. Â McMenimen finished with 29 saves.

The Thoroughbreds travel to Hobart for a pair of non-league games Dec. 4-5, while the Bears are at Geneseo on Dec. 4.
