SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College ice hockey team looks to keep rolling this weekend when it hosts the Skidmore Invitational.

The Thoroughbreds notched their first two wins of the season over the weekend, upsetting #3/4 Norwich, 4-0, and battling to a 5-4 overtime win at Saint Michael's. Junior forward
Anthony Bird scored a natural hat trick and junior netminder
Jack McDonald made a season-high 40 saves against the Cadets. The win snapped Norwich's 20 game home win streak, while the shutout marked the first time in 58 home games that the Cadets had been held scoreless.

Sophomore forward
Mickey Foley scored 51 seconds into overtime to lift Skidmore to its second win of the weekend. Freshman
Oscar Flory made 27 saves to secure his first win of the season.

- Bird is tied for third in the conference with eight points and is tied for seventh with four goals. He has produced five points (3g, 2 a) over the last three games.

Marc Cibelli is tied of the league high with seven assists. He has registered three multi-point games this season.

- McDonald has a .915 save percentage and a 3.02 goals against average in four appearances, while Flory holds a .886 save percentage and a 3.98 goals against average.

SCOUTING CORTLANDCortland went 1-0-1 over the weekend with a win and a tie against Canton. Five different players scored for the Red Dragons in Friday's 5-2 win. Sophomore goalie Kollyn Jones made 17 saves over the final 34:03 on Saturday, including 10 in the third period, to help secure a 3-3 tie.

- Darren McCormick leads the team with seven assists and eight points.

- Freshman forward Shane Bennett leads the team with four goals, including one power play tally and one shorthanded goal. He is third on the team with five points.

- Sophomore netminder Drew Weigman has appeared in seven of eight games, posting a .911 save percentage and a 3.29 goals against average.

- Cortland is 4-for-25 (.160) on the power play and 23-for-27 (.852) on the penalty kill.

SCOUTING #12/14 POTSDAM (6-1)Potsdam suffered its first defeat of the season on Saturday, falling 7-1 to #3/4 Plattsburgh. The Cardinals were 4-for-5 on the power play in the win.

SCOUTING MANHANTTANVILLE (5-2)Manhattanville bounced back from a 5-1 loss to Nazareth on Friday with a 4-3 win over Utica on Saturday. Freshman forward Jeff Beck potted a pair of goals and sophomore forward Charlie Ryde had two helpers. In goal, freshman Tyler Feaver made 33 saves, including 15 in the second and 11 in the third to seal the win.
- Sophomore forward Stephen Gaul has a team-high eight points and two game-winning goals and is tied for the team best with four goals.

- Beck is tied for the team lead with four goals, while senior forward Matt Coleman leads the team with five assists.

- Feaver has a 3.37 goals against average and a .907 save percentage in two appearances. Sophomore Kyle Redmond has made four appearances, posting a 3.52 goals against average and a .890 save percentage.
