Skidmore mourns the passing of former lacrosse coach Jack Sandler

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.— Colby head men's lacrosse coach and former Skidmore head coach Jack Sandler died Thursday night while working out on a recruiting trip, according to a statement from Colby College president David A. Greene. He was 35.
 
Sandler coached eight seasons at Skidmore before moving to Colby in fall of 2013.
 
He was the Liberty League Coach of the Year in 2007 and 2011 and led the Thoroughbreds to Liberty League title games in 2007 and 2010. His 2011 team was ranked as high as 11th in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Assication (USILA) poll.

Visiting hours will be on Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, .  A service will follow at 12 p.m.
